About Industrial Financing
About the Industrial Financing Platform
This platform is an initiative of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), in partnership with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), National Empowerment Fund (NEF) and Export Credit Insurance Corporation (ECIC). It was developed to make industrial funding more accessible, transparent and easier to navigate for businesses of all sizes.
Why the Platform Was Created
Government-backed industrial funding is delivered through multiple institutions, each with its own mandate, criteria and funding instruments. Identifying the right programme and understanding where to apply can be complex and time consuming.
This platform brings these funding opportunities together in one central location, making it easier to explore available support and take the next step.
What the Platform Helps You Do
- Search funding across participating institutions
- Filter by sector, funding type or agency
- Compare available programmes
- Understand eligibility requirements
- Prepare for application using practical tools and resources
How the Process Works
The platform helps you identify relevant funding options and understand what is required before applying.
All funding applications are submitted directly to the relevant institution. Each programme remains administered and evaluated by the respective agency in line with its mandate and criteria.
Who the Platform Is For

- Expansion and growth
- Investment in plant, equipment or infrastructure
